ذكرت صحيفة “البويبلود سبتة” أنه تم تسجيل هزتين أرضيتين متتاليتين في بحر البوران بالقرب من تطوان. حيث وقع الزلزال الأول يوم الاثنين 21 أكتوبر بقوة 2.1 درجة على سلم ريشتر، وتبعه زلزال آخر يوم الثلاثاء 22 أكتوبر بقوة 2.4 درجة.
كما أشارت التقارير إلى أن الهزة الثانية حدثت قبالة الساحل الشرقي لمدينة تطوان، على عمق يقارب 10 كيلومترات تحت سطح البحر.
