أثار رجل مغربي يبلغ من العمر 47 سنة جدلا واسعا في فرنسا، بعد أن التقطته الكاميرات وهو يشعل سيجارته من “الشعلة الأبدية” المخصصة لتكريم الجنود الفرنسيين الذين قتلوا في الحرب العالمية الأولى، والموجودة تحت قوس النصر في باريس.
الواقعة التي وصفت بـ”المهينة”، أثارت موجة غضب كبيرة على وسائل التواصل، ودفع بوزير الداخلية الفرنسي إلى الإعلان عن توقيف الرجل، الذي اعترف بالفعل.
وبحسب الإعلام الفرنسي، فإن المعني كان يقيم في فرنسا بطريقة قانونية، لكن بعد الحادث تم سحب حق الإقامة منه، ويجري التحضير لترحيله، مع احتمال معاقبته بالسجن لمدة قد تصل إلى سنة وغرامة مالية تقدر بـ15 ألف يورو.
من جهتها، أدانت وزيرة شؤون المحاربين القدامى التصرف، معتبرة أنه إساءة لذكرى الجنود الذين ضحوا بحياتهم، وقالت: “هذه الشعلة وجدت لتكريمهم، لا لإشعال السجائر”.
