وكانت مصالح الأمن الإقليمي بمدينة سلا، قد تفاعلت، بسرعة وجدية، مع مقطع فيديو منشور على صفحات مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي يظهر الموقوف وهو يتحوز سلاحين أبيضين، قبل أن تصدر عنه تهديدات صريحة بارتكاب اعتداءات جسدية، حيث باشرت عملية أمنية مكنت من تحديد هويته وتوقيفه بمنزل بمنطقة العيايدة بسلا.
وقد تم الاحتفاظ بالمشتبه فيه تحت تدابير الحراسة النظرية رهن إشارة البحث الذي يجري تحت إشراف النيابة العامة المختصة، وذلك للكشف عن جميع ظروف وملابسات وخلفيات هذه القضية، وكذا تحديد كافة الأفعال الإجرامية المنسوبة له.
