شارك رئيس مجلس جماعة طنجة، “منير ليموري” في أشغال تخليد برشلونة ليوم المتوسط، حيث شمل لقاءات على أعلى مستوى، إلى جانب توقيع اتفاقيات تهم مستقبل الشراكة والتعاون بين مدينتي طنجة وبرشلونة.
ومن أبرز اللقاءات التي حملتها أجندة ليموري، اجتماعه بعمدة برشلونة جاوما كولبوني، الذي تمخض عنه اتفاق بين الطرفين على العمل من أجل الدخول في مرحلة جديدة من العلاقات بين المدينتين، وإتاحة المجال للتعاون الثنائي بينهما في العديد من المجالات، وهو الأمر الذي اتفقا على تفعيله من خلال مجموعة من التحركات العملية في المستقبل القريب.
وبمقر بلدية برشلونة، إلتقى عمدة مدينة طنجة مع وزير الخارجية الإسباني، خوسيه مانويل ألباريس، في لقاء حضره أيضا الأمين العام للاتحاد من أجل المتوسط، ناصر كامل، وعمدة برشلونة جاوما كولبوني، وفي خطوة ذات أبعاد رمزية توجهوا جميعا إلى متحف الذاكرة في برشلونة للمشاركة في حفل من أجل السلام.
وشكل هذا الحفل مجالا لعرض الثقافة المشتركة بين شعوب البحر الأبيض المتوسط، والتأكيد على دور الفنون في تقريب المسافات على الرغم من اختلاف الأعراق واللغات والأديان، من خلال فقرات قُدمت بالعديد من اللغات من بينها العربية.
ومن بين اللحظات المهمة في رحلة ليموري إلى برشلونة، اجتماعه بالكاتب العام لمنظمة المدن الميتروبولية، والذي كان مناسبة للشروع في إعداد خارطة طريق للمستقبل تتضمن التخطيط لمجموعة من المشاريع، في إطار العمل على ترويج صورة مدينة طنجة وإبراز مكانتها على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي كحاضرة كبرى منفتحة وسريعة التطور.
ومثل ليموري جماعة طنجة في قمة برشلونة من أجل منطقة كبرى متوسطية ، إلتقى خلالها برئيس حكومة إقليم كاتالونيا، بيرا أراغونيس، وهي القمة التي جمعت ممثلي عدد من المجالس الجهوية المتوسطية وبعض البلديات المتوسطية.
