حذر رجل الأعمال والملياردير الأمريكي إيلون ماسك، أمس السبت، من مخاطر استخدام تطبيق “واتس آب” من شركة “Meta Platforms” من وجهة نظر حماية بيانات المستخدم.
وكتب ماسك في تعليق على منشور لمستخدمي شبكة التواصل الاجتماعي “إكس”، والذي ناقش الادعاء بأن التشفير الشامل في “واتس آب” من المفترض أنه يسمح لك بحماية المراسلات بشكل كامل: “واتساب ليس آمنا على الإطلاق”.
وقال مستخدمو شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي وتطبيقات التواصل إن “واتساب” أكثر أمنا خلافا لتطبيق “ميسنجر” الذي يتلقى مستخدموه إعلانات عبر الإنترنت تتعلق بموضوعات المناقشة في محادثات التطبيق.
وفي أبريل الماضي، ذكرت صحيفة “وول ستريت جورنال” أن شركة “آبل” الأمريكية اضطرت إلى إزالة برنامج “واتساب” وشبكة “Threads” الاجتماعية، التابعة لشركة “ميتا”، من متجر التطبيقات الخاص بها في الصين بناءً على طلب سلطات جمهورية الصين الشعبية لأسباب تتعلق بالأمن القومي.
