ووفقا لبيان الشرطة الوطنية الإسبانية، فقد تم إخفاء المخدرات في مقطورة الشاحنة التي كانت تنقل الخضراوات، وفيما تم حجز المخدرات المضبوطة، وضع سائق الشاحنة رهن الاعتقال.
وأشار البيان، إلى أن التدخل كان نتيجة للتنسيق الدولي بين وكالات الشرطة، مما سمح بتنبيه قوات الأمن الإسبانية إلى وصول الشاحنة، المشتبه في نقلها للمخدرات في تجاويفها.
وأضاف البيان، أن وحدة الكلاب المدربة رصدت المخدرات في الشاحنة، ليتم تفتيشها بشكل دقيق، حيث تم العثور على مخبأين محملين بالحشيش، واحد على مستوى أرضية الشاحنة والآخر على سطح مقطورة الشاحنة.
