ذكرت قناة إن.تي.في ووسائل إعلام تركية أخرى، اليوم الاثنين، أن رجل الدين الإسلامي التركي فتح الله غولن توفي في الولايات المتحدة حيث كان يقيم.
وتتهم أنقرة غولن بالمسؤولية عن محاولة الانقلاب الفاشلة التي شهدتها البلاد في 2016. ولم يتسن التأكد من التقارير على الفور.
وفي وقت لاحق، أكد وزير الخارجية التركي وفاة فتح الله غولن، وقال “بحسب معلوماتنا الاستخباراتية فإن زعيم عصابة غولن قد توفي”.
وأسّس فتح الله غولن حركة إسلامية قوية في تركيا وخارجها، لكنه قضى السنوات القليلة الماضية متهما بتدبير محاولة انقلاب ضد الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان.
ونفى غولن هذه الاتهامات مرارا.
وأفادت وسائل الإعلام، عبر منشورات على موقع إكس، أن غولن توفي في بنسلفانيا عن عمر ناهز 83 عاما.
يشار إلى أن فتح الله غولن المتهم بأنه العقل المدبر لانقلاب تركيا، ولد في تركيا عام 1941، وانتقل للعيش في الولايات المتحدة في العام 1999.
