وقد أسفرت عمليات المراقبة والتفتيش الحدودي عن حجز كميات المخدرات المهربة مخبأة بعناية داخل تجاويف أعدت خصيصا ضمن الهيكل الحديدي للشاحنة، كما مكنت إجراءات البحث من توقيف سائقها، وهو مواطن مغربي يبلغ من العمر 33 سنة.
وقد تم إخضاع المشتبه فيه لتدبير الحراسة النظرية رهن إشارة البحث القضائي الذي يجري تحت إشراف النيابة العامة المختصة، وذلك للكشف عن جميع المتورطين في هذه القضية، وكذا تحديد باقي الامتدادات المفترضة وطنيا ودوليا لهذا النشاط الإجرامي.
وتندرج هذه القضية في سياق العمليات الأمنية المكثفة والمتواصلة التي تباشرها مختلف المصالح الأمنية، بهدف مكافحة التهريب الدولي للمخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية.
